Wings or No wings on her???? The Hubb's wants her finished( and so do I ;0)
this weekend... Not only does this take a bit to decide, which is why I pray for your help :0) so often, but I usually have trouble choosing which colors to use on there clothing,hair, etc... Share your thoughts with me please..
And for all me Sweet friends,,,I am also sending out Mothers day cards to you if you'd not mind giving out your address...Of course,,they will be late and have a verse on them of well, NOT Mother's day if that made any sense. So Girlfriends if ya want a card from Lil old me,,,Dena E. Please email me with your address.

Then there is Ann S. at "The Tattered Tassel" who thought so much of me for some unknown reason, just out of the kindness of here heart, and sent me a special gift just last week.

Dena~I say no wings. My thought is it might make someone who is struggling with cancer feel they are soon going to heaven. Now we all want to get there one day but I know those fighting that battle would love to beat it and continue to live many more days with their families and friends. As to colors, I like blue jeans and maybe a pink t-shirt. Can you do some with brown hair and some with blond and maybe some with red? If that is too much for printing purposes how about a sandy blonde/brown hair color. T

ReplyDeleteLove the card and the thought behind it of it blessing someone with a disease. I would say no to wings.
I would also dress her in uplifting tones for her clothes but make her face/hair tones something that is neutral (which is what I love that Willow Tree does); that would be accessible to all people.
I'm sure the LORD will lead you in exactly what to do as you pray but I shared my thoughts as you asked. God bless and again enjoy your special day!!!

Hey Dena! Happy Mother's Day! I also say no wings. The simpler the better. You know how the saying goes "less is more". When people are terminal, I think they should concentrate on the LIVING, as they will be crossing over soon enough. I love angels as much as the next person, but I just think a plain card with her praying says volumes.

Hey Dena! I hope that didn't sound distasteful. I have a habit of typing what comes to mind without thinking about how it sounds and I'm unfortunately not a very tactful person. I didn't mean for my above comment to sound bad. It's just that it seems cards for this purpose always have angels or some heavenly reference, and I think if it were me, I would appreciate just the simple gesture of human prayer. That would say to me "don't give up", rather than angels, "escorting me to heaven. I hope I haven't dug me a deeper hole. I tend to type what I'm thinking at the time without thinking about how it sounds. I do love the essence of the card. God Bless!

Hi Dena, It was great stopping by your blog. Nice drawing of a woman praying. I think I'd like her best without wings--as the angels I know don't have them. :) Also, thanks for thinking of those with cancer. I have a dear family member with Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
